Daily Class Participation (30%) – 3 Points per Day
1) Participation in Class (singing, using gestures,posture, etc.).
2) On Task Behavior (i.e. attentive to teacher, follow directions, etc.)
3) Completing in- class Assignments
4) Preparedness (i.e. having the “Needed Materials”)
NEEDED MATERIALS: Pencil, Choir Folder, Music, Sight-Reading sheet & other items as announced.
Items NOT Allowed in Class: Gum, Food, & Drinks (water is Ok). Cell phones & devices may NOT be visible in class without permission!
Makeup Work: when students are absent they are in a zero out of a possible 3 points. This can be made up by practicing our choir songs at home with the YouTube playlist I have provided on the “practice at home page” for this website.

II - Concert Make-up Points
•Students who have an excused absence from a concert (i.e. have turned in at least 24 Hours PRIOR or after the concert. Send a hand written note, text, or E-mailed notification in which the reason is either sickness or family emergency) will be allowed to make-up the concert points by performing their concert music for Mrs. Gay
•Mrs. Gay will base their concert points on the quality of their performance (i.e. like a singing-test; correct notes, rhythms, musicality, etc.).
•Students need to make arrangements with Mrs. Gay to perform their concert pieces either BEFORE school or AFTER school.
•Deadline for make-up work: 1 week from the concert date.
